Crimson Cape Productions gets its name from a collective memory amongst my friends. Whenever we overcame impossible odds, we’d call it a “crimson cape moment” in honor of Spartan culture. It’s a celebration of achievement.
That’s where the name comes from, but to know the purpose of Crimson Cape Productions, you must know Jon.
I am easily explained by my Myers-Briggs Personality Type, INTP - also known as an “architect” personality. By the nature of who I am, I am compelled to create. I am attracted to anything I can customize, and attack it with the compulsive drive of a perfectionist. I am a tinkerer, a designer – I don’t see the world as how it is, but how I can make it.
Though I’m proud of what I do, I’m humble and private. I don’t even consider my work that great. I don’t create something with the intention of showing it to friends or family – I create it solely to turn myself inside-out; to express who and what I am in a perceptible way.
I am, by definition, a hobbyist of anything - and everything I do, I taught myself. This portfolio will soon be updated to reflect a more professional stance in the web design arena, but as it stands right now, it’s more a blog and a snapshot of some of my hobbies.
That’s the purpose of the Crimson Cape. It functions as a catalog – a roadmap of where I’ve been, to where I’m going.
I’m a private person, content to live in my microcosm of obscurity. For years, my creations would see no light, deep in their corners of a closet or a hard drive. I’ve been increasingly prodded by my friends into creating a public platform, just so people can see what I’m doing. This is my tribute to them.
